She went on to earn a master’s degree in teaching and reading from the same institution in 1969 and holds a Doctor of Education in educational leadership and administration from Clark Atlanta University, which she earned in 1985.

 Currently serving as an Associate Professor at Clark Atlanta University since 2010, Ms. Naylor-Hill has also held significant leadership roles such as Associate Superintendent and Small Superintendent at Fulton County Schools. Additionally, she has contributed to staff development training and served as an executive coach. Ms. Naylor-Hill’s career is further distinguished by her tenure as Department Chair of Counseling and Educational Leadership.

Outside of her professional commitments, Ms. Naylor-Hill remains actively engaged in civic and community endeavors. She volunteers her time with organizations like the USO and the Kiwanis Club of Atlanta, where she serves as President. Ms. Naylor-Hill is also a member of PDK International.

Ms. Naylor-Hill’s success in education is underscored by her numerous accolades, including being named Vulcan Teacher of the Year at Clark Atlanta University in 2010, Teacher of the Year at Atlanta Public Schools, and Volunteer of the Year at the USO. Her passion for teaching and dedication to her students have been central to her career. Notably, she takes pride in her school’s recognition as the third Historically Black College and University (HBCU) in Georgia listed as a stellar program, with certification on every level. Witnessing her students’ success in their chosen careers has been a highlight of her career.

Looking ahead, Ms. Naylor-Hill envisions spending more time with her grandchildren and traveling to Africa in the next five years. She attributes her success to her ability to navigate work environments and foster meaningful relationships. Mentors like her mother, wise seniors from her church, and Dr. Moses Norman have played pivotal roles in shaping her journey, instilling in her the importance of education and resilience. As an advocate for equity and diversity in education, Ms. Naylor-Hill emphasizes the need for every child to have equal opportunities to succeed. She remains optimistic about positive change, drawing inspiration from Martin Luther King Jr.’s message of hope and determination. Ms. Naylor-Hill encourages collaboration to create a safe and inclusive environment where children can thrive and contribute to building a better future.
