With 25 years of experience to her credit, Dr. Ead has excelled as Doctor of Education, curriculum, and teaching at Dearborn Public Schools. She began her career with the University of Houston-Clear Lake from 1999 to 2000. She worked as a substitute teacher and Arabic teacher from 2002 to 2003. At the American Red Cross Detroit-National Testing Lab, she worked as a medical laboratory testing technologist from 2006 to 2009. She continued her career as a high school chemistry and physical science teacher at Riverside Academy West from 2010 to 2013 before transitioning to the role of high school physics and chemistry teacher at Edsel Ford High School where she has been active since 2013.
Before embarking on her professional path, Dr. Ead pursued an education at San Jacinto College where she earned an associate of arts in biology in 1998. She continued her academic efforts at the University of Houston-Clear Lake, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in biology in 2000. At the University of Phoenix, she received a Master of Arts in education in 2010. She concluded her studies at National University, graduating with a Doctor of Education in curriculum and instruction in 2023.
Beyond her responsibilities within the field, Dr. Ead has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. She volunteered with the Red Cross and was the leader of the Muslim Students Association. In addition to her primary vocation, she remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise. She was a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, the Golden Key International Honor Society, and the Metropolitan Detroit Science Teachers Association.
In light of her impressive undertakings, Dr. Ead has accrued several accolades throughout her career. She was nominated for the Alberta Muirhead Teacher of the Year Award multiple times and was recognized by the superintendent as an educator impacting students’ education seven times. She received two letters from Congress for impacting students’ education.
