With nearly 60 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Tedesco has excelled as a college adviser at Westchester Hebrew High School since 2009. He began his career as a teacher at Mount Saint Michael Academy before transitioning to the role of youth ministry director at Relig from 1965 to 1990. He garnered a stellar reputation as a guidance counselor at New Rochelle High School from 1990 to 2008.

Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Tedesco pursued an education at Iona University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in religion and philosophy. He continued his academic efforts at St. John’s University, obtaining a master’s degree in global studies with an emphasis in African studies in 1967. He concluded his studies at Manhattan College, graduating with a master’s degree in school counseling and a master’s degree in religious education. He accrued a professional diploma in counseling from Manhattan College in 1985.

Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Mr. Tedesco has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He contributed as a volunteer counselor at St. Gabriel’s Church and held the role of board member, guest speaker, and volunteer treasurer at Relig. He served as a volunteer fifth-grade teacher and a financial aid counselor at New Rochelle High School. He was a member of the New Rochelle National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Tedesco has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was recognized for service in religious education by the Archdiocese of New York and for his involvement and work at New Rochelle High School by the Westchester School Counselor Organization. Moreover, he was recognized for his services to the community and for being an outstanding Italian-American by the Italian-American Association of New Rochelle.

 Mr. Tedesco credits his success to the upbringing provided by his parents and his extended family, who taught him the value of hard work. He also attributes his success to his religious convictions, which have encouraged and focused him. He is known for his consistent availability to help people of all races, colors, creeds, nationalities, orientations, geographies, and financial standings, and he has made meaningful contributions to the lives and well-being of many marginalized people.
