Dennis Roderick, Adjunct Faculty Member for the Department of Psychology at Bryant University, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in psychology and crime and justice studies education.

With decades of experience to his credit, Dr. Roderick has excelled as an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Psychology at Bryant University since 2023. Prior to this position, he was active in academia as a full-time lecturer in crime and justice studies at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth from 2000 to 2019, an adjunct lecturer in psychology at Curry College from 2005 to 2010, an adjunct assistant professor of psychology at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences University from 2011 to 2016, and a visiting lecturer in criminology at Framingham State University from 2021 to 2023. Further serving as a consulting director of forensic and clinical services for Strategies for Progress from 2016 to 2020, he found success working as a clinician specializing in addiction recovery and mental health for over 20 years. Moreover, Dr. Roderick has served his country over the course of four years of enlistment as a hospital corpsman in the U.S. Navy.

Before embarking on his professional path, Dr. Roderick pursued an education at the University of Massachusetts Boston, from which he earned a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in psychology in 1976. Subsequently obtaining a Master of Arts in developmental psychology at Rhode Island College in 1978, he concluded his studies at Columbia Pacific University in 1988, graduating with a Doctor of Philosophy in counseling psychology. Attributing his success to his hard work and his commitment to serving those facing disadvantages, he has honored with several accolades throughout his career: inclusion in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers (2005), Who’s Who Among Collegiate Faculty (2010, 2012), and recognition from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with a Faculty Member of the Year Award for the Pathways Program in 2016 and a Special Appreciation Award for the College Now Program in 2019. In the coming years, Dr. Roderick hopes to continue teaching while he prepares to write a novel.
