He served as an instructor at Wheeling University from 1978 to 1987 before joining Bethany College, where he held the position of professor of fine arts from 1989 until his transition to emeritus professor in 2022. Additionally, he has been the owner of Art on the Side since 1987, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to the arts.

In his professional journey, Mr. Morgan’s creative works have been showcased in numerous exhibitions, including “Sacred and Profane” at the Towngate Theatre Gallery in 2018 and “Treasures of Memory” at Bethany College in 2016. Throughout his career, he has received recognition for his outstanding contributions to teaching and research, including the prestigious John Taylor Award for Excellence in Teaching and Research Across Disciplines in 2013. One of the most significant highlights of Mr. Morgan’s career was receiving emeritus status, a testament to his enduring impact and contributions to Bethany College, as recognized by the board of trustees.
