Following his educational endeavors, Mr. Elkins initiated his career as a survey field crew chief at The Shenk Corporation from 1986 to 1988, honing his skills in land surveying. Subsequently, he continued in a similar role at KLS Consultants, Inc. from 1988 to 1992 and further extended his expertise as a survey field crew chief at Ramesh C. Batta Associates from 1992 to 2001.
During this period, Mr. Elkins also served as a survey technician and professional land surveyor at McKee & Associates, Inc. from 2001 to 2010 before advancing to the position of field coordinator and professional land surveyor at Christopher Consultants, Ltd. from 2010 to 2015. His career trajectory continued with a role as a project manager – professional land surveyor in the Maryland Office at Precision Measurements, Inc. from 2015 to 2019. Presently, Mr. Elkins holds the position of project manager – professional land surveyor at VanMar Associates, Inc. since 2018. Alongside his industry career, he has contributed his expertise as an adjunct instructor of Maryland Survey Law at Catonsville Community College since 2019.
