Dr. Olivia Miller, business education instructor at Grimsley High School with Guilford County Schools, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in education and school leadership.
With 15 years of experience to her credit, Dr. Miller has excelled as a business education instructor at Grimsley High School, part of Guilford County Schools, since 2021. She began her career as a high school varsity softball coach from 2008 to 2011 and varsity basketball coach from 2013 to 2015. She found success as a player in the Women’s Football Alliance from 2016 to 2020. At East Forsyth High School, she garnered a stellar reputation as a business education instructor from 2016 to 2021 and as an assistant principal intern from 2018 to 2021. She was active as a college adjunct business instructor at Catawba Valley Community College from 2015 to 2021.
Before embarking on her professional path, Dr. Miller pursued an education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design in 2006. She continued her academic efforts at the University of Phoenix, obtaining a Master of Business Administration in human resources management in 2013. At Walden University, she completed a Doctor of Business Administration in 2017 before concluding her studies at Queens University of Charlotte and graduating with a Master of Arts in educational leadership and administration in 2020.
Beyond her responsibilities within the field, Dr. Miller has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. She established a lifetime member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. in 2012. She served in the United States Army as a private first-class automated logistics specialist between 2003 and 2004. In addition to her primary vocation, she remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise. She was a member of the Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society and Alpha Phi Omega.
In light of her impressive undertakings, Dr. Miller has accrued several accolades throughout her career. She was presented with multiple awards, including the Defensive Player of the Year Award in 2022, the All-American Award of the Women’s Football Alliance in 2021 and 2022, and the Soldier of the Year Award from the United States Army in 2003. She was recognized as the most valuable player in basketball and softball between 1995 and 1999. She was listed on the Athletics Director’s Honor Roll at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1999 and selected as Poster Winner by the Charlotte Hornets in 1993.
