With 46 years of experience to her credit, Dr. Holloway has excelled as owner, editor, and ghostwriter at ARH Editing & Consulting since 2014. She contributed to Fort Valley State University as a professor of English from 1968 to 2014 and as dean of graduate studies and extended education from 2006 to 2014, at which time she retired. She found success as a book author and editor since 2011 and as a professor of eCore at the University System of Georgia in 2014.

Before embarking on her professional path, Dr. Holloway pursued an education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1965 and a Master of Arts in English in 1968. She continued her academic efforts at Kent State University, graduating with a PhD in English in 1975 and later completed her fellowship there. She holds an eCore online instruction certificate from the University of West Georgia.

Beyond her responsibilities within the field, Dr. Holloway has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. She served as an advisor to the Creative Writing Club at Fort Valley State University and as a lay chaplain at the Canterbury Association and her local Episcopalian church. She found success as a magazine editor and as the author of “Looking for Jazz: A Memoir about the Black College and Southern Town That Changed My Life.” In addition to her primary vocation, she remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise. She was a member of the Book Camp, the Broadleaf Writers’ Association, the Lions Club, and several additional writers’ organizations.

In light of her impressive undertakings, Dr. Holloway has accrued several accolades throughout her career. She was presented with the Gold Sponsor Award for donating over $1,000 to the Fort Valley State University Foundation’s youth scholarships in 2021. She also received the John W. Davidson Award and an award from Fort Valley State University.
