Dr. Gerald A. Thomas, an aerospace science instructor at Meadowcreek High School, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of aerospace education.
Drawing from over 40 years of experience in his chosen area of expertise, Dr. Thomas has distinguished himself in his most recent position as a teacher at Meadowcreek High School. In this role, he instructs for classes per day on a diverse range of courses, including on etiquette and respect, speech writing and presentation, and preparing for future college studies and success. For those entering the workforce, the curriculum includes training on crafting resumes, effective interviewing techniques, and maintaining a professional demeanor. Well-regarded as an effective public speaker, Dr. Thomas also serves as a national trainer for the Time to Teach program of the Center for Teacher Effectiveness.
Prior to his current endeavors, Dr. Thomas began his career as a security specialist within the U.S. Air Force in 1982, after which he served in the Air Force Recruiting Service from 1993 to 2008 – throughout this period, he was noted as the Southwest Region Recruiter of the Year in 1996. Having already earned distinction across two decades of military service, he went on to work as an aerospace science instructor for the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps from 2008 until 2022. During this time, he was honored on several occasions as an Outstanding Instructor in 2010, 2011 and 2015.
According to Dr. Thomas, his noteworthy success can be attributed to his unwavering faith in the Lord, profound love for his homeland, and deep affection for his family. Looking toward the future, he has set himself the goal of securing a lasting legacy for his family, and to ensure that his children are well-equipped to excel in life and never find themselves in need.
