With 10 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Thomas has excelled as regional director for South Carolina at Cognia since 2021. She has performed an array of positions at same between 2015 and 2021, including as operational specialist of the southeast region, school quality specialist and associate state director, director of engagement services for the Mid-Atlantic region, and client services director of South Carolina. She began her career as a special education teacher at Rome City Schools from 1990 to 1993. She established herself as a junior kindergarten teacher at Ten Little Indians of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania from 1995 to 1996 and in Springfield, Virginia from 1996 to 1997.

Ms. Thomas was active as a kindergarten teacher in Wahiawa, Hawaii at Our Lady of Sorrows from 2000 to 2001 and Trinity Lutheran School from 2001 to 2004. She contributed to the Lexington Medical Center as a medical assistant from 2009 to 2011. She found further success as an accreditation specialist at the Computer Sciences Corporation from 2013 to 2015.

Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Thomas pursued an education at Green Mountain College where she earned a Bachelor of Science with a double major in elementary education and special education. She obtained a diploma of education as a medical/clinical assistant at Centura College in 2009. She accrued a certification in six sigma green belt from Villanova University in 2014.

Beyond her responsibilities within the field, Ms. Thomas has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. She is an appointed board member for the Montessori School of Camden and is the chair for the Strategic Plan Committee and the co-chair for the HOS Evaluation and Board Evaluation Committee. Moreover, she found success with her written work “Household Six” for Family Readiness Groups 101st Airborne Division. In light of her impressive undertakings, she has accrued several accolades throughout her career. She received an award from the 101st Airborne at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
