Dr. Kevin M. Green, director of tactical education and professor of national security studies, at Valley Forge Military Academy and College, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in tactical education.

With nearly 30 years of experience to his credit, Dr. Green has excelled as director of tactical education and professor of national security studies at Valley Forge Military Academy and College since 2023. He began his career as a corrections officer at the Camden County Department of Corrections from 1994 to 1996. He established himself as a task force agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration from 1996 to 1998. He contributed to the Department of the Army as branch chief of global operational support in the Intelligence and Information Warfare Directorate for 12 years, a senior intelligence specialist in operations from 2007 to 2016, and as program manager and intelligence lead in the intelligence and information warfare directorate from 2016 to 2019.

Dr. Green continued his career as a head Brazilian jiu-jitsu/mixed martial arts instructor at the Yamasaki Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy from 2007 to 2023. He found success as an adjunct law and behavioral science professor at Wilmington University from 2014 to 2023. In the United States Army, he served as an officer, intelligence analyst, lieutenant, and captain between 1998 and 2006, and as a branch chief from 2019 to 2023.

Before embarking on his professional path, Dr. Green pursued an education at Monmouth University where he completed coursework in law from 1993 to 1994. He continued his academic efforts at Cochise College, earning an associate of science in intelligence operations in 2005. At Rowan University, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in law and justice in 2004. He completed his studies at Wilmington University, graduating with a Master of Science in criminal behavior in 2013 and a Doctorate in 2017. He holds a third-degree black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu certification from Yamasaki Academy.

In addition to his primary vocation, Dr. Green remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the National Criminology Honor Society, the Epsilon Nu National Honor Society, the National Criminology Honor Society, the Golden Key International Honour Society, the Alpha Phi Sigma National Honor Society, the American Legion, and the Ethical Society.

In light of his impressive undertakings, Dr. Green has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was the top scoring member of his senior class in criminal justice at Rowan University where he was presented with the George C. Marshall Award in 2002. He received the Law Award, a Meritorious Service Medal, and the Knowlton Award for Excellence and Lifetime Contribution to the Military Intelligence Corps. He was recognized as a distinguished military graduate and awarded the Green and Gold Scholarship. As a result of his outstanding professional reputation, he was requested by name to support protection efforts for the GW20 Summit in Argentina.
