Linda L. Gunter, Neurosculpting Teacher, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in mental health and nuclear energy.
With many years of experience to her credit, Ms. Gunter has excelled as a self-employed teacher of neurosculpting, a stress-reduction technique that leverages the principles of neuroscience to reset a person’s nervous system, since 2020. She has been additionally active as the owner of Transitional Decisions Consulting in Seagrove, North Carolina since 2021. She previously worked as the owner of The Mill House at Richland Creek from 2010 to 2012, a consultant with the Project Enhancement Corporation from 2009 to 2014, and a resilience mindset adviser with LIGunter in 2020. Prior to these positions, she served in the nuclear energy industry as the director of communications with Nucleareurope from 1993 to 1999, a manager for the Nuclear Energy Institute from 1999 to 2000, and the director of nuclear fuel policy for the U.S. Department of Energy from 2002 to 2006. Ms. Gunter began her career as a program assistant with the Tokyo Electric Power Company from 1986 to 1991.
Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Gunter pursued an education at Beloit College, from which she earned a Bachelor of Arts in international relations and history in 1978. Departing from a lengthy career in nuclear energy due to the unfortunate economic realities of those ventures, she was eventually drawn to neurosculpting through the influence of her late father’s books as well as a chance encounter with the work of Lisa Wimberger. She notably imparted her own knowledge to others through her book “Shattered Illusions: Reflections on My Disastrous Mid-Life Crisis,” which was published by BookBaby in 2021. Attributing her success to her penchant for learning and exploration as well as her stellar zest for life, she fondly recalls having contributed as the chair of a committee tasked with negotiating an international agreement for advanced nuclear reactor designs in 2001. Looking toward the future, Ms. Gunter is interested in exploring opportunities to gain national exposure for her work as a practitioner of neurosculpting while dedicating her spare time to traveling internationally and completing her next book.
