With two decades of experience, Dr. Jozefowicz has thrived as a professor for the School of Social Work at Wayne State University since 2022. From 2010 to 2021, she was an associate professor and coordinator of disability studies for the University of Windsor. Previously, she was an assistant professor and coordinator of school social work practice at Wayne State University from 2002 to 2010. 

Before entering her professional career, Dr. Jozefowicz earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Wayne State University in 1990. She then attended the University of Michigan Rackham Graduate School, receiving a Master of Social Work in school social work practice in 1993 and a Doctor of Philosophy in social work and developmental psychology in 2002. Dr. Jozefowicz was drawn to psychology while she was in high school. In college, she decided to go in that direction to help people. 

As a testament to her success, Dr. Jozefowicz has received a Teaching Award and numerous fellowships. In her spare time, she is a member of the board of the Macomb County Autism Society and The Summit Center for Autism in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
