Guy V. Frost, a catalog librarian and professor of library science at Valdosta State University, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of library science.

With over 25 years of experience to his credit in the field of library science, Mr. Frost has distinguished himself through his role at Valdosta State University, where he teaches classes on music research and bibliography, as well as library science. An expert in cataloging Research Description and Access (RDA), he holds a boundless enthusiasm for the preservation of Pagan history and, in his other capacity as a catalog librarian, he works to teach his colleagues how to catalog occult materials. Mr. Frost first delivered an RDA presentation at the Georgia Library Association Conference, which went on to elect him as the chair of the organization’s Technical Services Interest Group. Additionally, in 2016, he established the New Age Movement’s Occultism and Spiritualism Research Library, which functions as an archive of new religious movements and spirituality dating back to the mid-1800s. Having held his current role since 1998, Mr. Frost previously served as an image cataloger for the Bureau of Archives and Records Management on behalf of the state of Florida.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Music Education from Valdosta State University in 1990, Mr. Frost found additional work at the campus library, which he came to love. Following the attainment of a Master of Music Education in 1994, he went on to study library science at Florida State University, from which he received a master’s degree in 1996 and an Education Specialist degree in 1998. Among his subsequent accomplishments, he is most proud to have established the Consortium for Belize Educational Cooperation workshop, which served the entire country of Belize. Looking toward the future, Mr. Frost aspires to expand the scope of his Pagan archive and continue the process of documenting and preserving ongoing historical movements.
