Dr. John C. Bullion, a superintendent at the Morgan Independent School District, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of education.
Leveraging more than two decades of expertise in his chosen field, Dr. Bullion has distinguished himself in various roles throughout the course of his career – most recently as the superintendent of schools for the Morgan Independent School District in Morgan, Texas. In this capacity, he is responsible for operational governance, financial performance, district partnerships, vendor management and process innovations. Dedicated to fostering inclusivity, diversity and equity in all of his endeavors, he also serves as a board trustee for the Valley Mills Independent School District, and previously worked extensively as a special education specialist at such organizations as the Texas Education Agency and the Bosque County Educational Cooperative. Well-regarded for his various accomplishments and the nontraditional path he took through the field of public education, Dr. Bullion’s areas of expertise reside in working with at-risk students, and he has garnered acclaim for his unique perspective on leadership.
Dr. Bullion initially studied psychology at Tarleton State University, from which he earned a Bachelor of Science in 2002 and a Master of Education in counseling in 2005. Following this accomplishment, he went on to attend Baylor University, where he received a Doctor of Education in administration and leadership in 2020. To commemorate his career achievements, he is most proud to have received numerous Barbara Jordan Media Awards from the SPEDTalk Podcast, and to have worked at the Bosque County Cooperative, where he played an instrumental role in reducing, redeveloping and redesigning a pivotal program for all seven school districts in the county. Looking toward the future, Dr. Bullion hopes to continue changing the culture at the Morgan Independent School District and increase learning expectations for their students and staff.
