William G. Woods, PhD, professor and lead faculty member at The University of Arizona Global Campus, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in business academia.
With nearly 30 years of experience to his credit, Dr. Woods is a proven expert in the field of education. Specializing in business academia pertaining to business management, development, leadership and marketing, he has served as a professor and lead faculty member at The University of Arizona Global Campus (formerly known as Ashford University) since 2020. He originally joined the school’s Forbes School of Business & Technology in 2005. Prior to his current appointments, he served as an assistant professor at St. Ambrose University in 1994. During his time at his current institution, Dr. Woods has also operated as a co-chair for the faculty council and as the chair for the Promotion Advisory Committee. In his civic-minded endeavors, he has worked alongside several charitable organizations throughout his career, including the Bridgepoint Education Political Action Committee.
As part of his vocational journey, Dr. Woods cultivated his own formal education, ultimately achieving a PhD in organizational management at Capella University in 2007. In his other scholarly endeavors, he is well-regarded for authoring the State of Wisconsin Peace Week Proclamation in 2018, which was signed by Governor Scott Kevin Walker. Likewise, he authored a similar work in the state of Iowa in 2017, and he was an assistant editor for the World Association of Academic Doctors in 2015. To commemorate his accomplishments, Dr. Woods has been honored with numerous accolades, most recently being named a Faculty Member of the Month by his college in 2020. He has also been recognized with the President’s Award and a Provost Services Award in 2019.
