He is the founding director of the City University of New York Haitian Studies Institute (CUNY HSI) and has been featured in various media outlets, including NPR, PBS, CBS News, and Al Jazeera. Dr. Saint Paul has authored numerous books, articles, and book chapters, focusing on topics such as political turmoil in Haiti, social forces, and the history of Haiti. He is also an active member of professional associations such as the Caribbean Studies Association and the Haitian Studies Association.
