Tuyen Thanh Bui, program director and educational coordinator at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in health care education.
Drawing on more than two decades of practiced expertise, Ms. Bui is a proven leader in the health care industry. Specializing in health care academia, she has served at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center since 2001, originally joining as an angiography specialist and later becoming a CPR director in 2004 and an educational coordinator and program director for the institution’s department of radiology in 2006. Furthermore, she excels as a didactic instructor within the organization. As part of her duties in the field, Ms. Bui primarily manages a variety of public and government programs, in addition to focusing on further staff development.
Adjacent to her primary duties, Ms. Bui has also operated as a part-time adjunct faculty member at California State University, Dominguez Hills since 2006. As a rising leader within the school, she specializes in developing a unique curriculum for her students and fellow faculty members. As part of her dedication to her profession, Ms. Bui remains affiliated with several industry-related organizations, including the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, the American Society of Radiologic Technologists and The Association of Collegiate Educators in Radiologic Technology.
Prior to embarking on her vocational journey, Ms. Bui pursued a higher education. She began her collegiate career at Bloomsburg University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in 2002. Continuing her studies at Trident University International, she ultimately achieved a master’s degree in health science in 2007. In addition to her academic credentials, Ms. Bui holds several pertinent certifications, including as a CPR instructor, an AED trainer, and in venipuncture care.
Attributing much of her success to her passion for learning and helping others, Ms. Bui has been honored with several accolades throughout her career. Namely, she was formally recognized by California State University, Dominguez Hills in 2010, and she was acknowledged with the Program Director Award from the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in 2009. Accounting for her achievements, she is particularly proud to be able to provide young individuals with the knowledge they need to thrive in the health care industry. In the coming years, Ms. Bui hopes to continue expanding her student roster and collegiate programs.
