Drawing on 35 years of experience, Dr. Green-Weir currently excels as an assistant professor for the division of healthcare management at the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University School of Allied Health Sciences. Prior to her current appointment, she worked as a level two lecturer and negotiator at Eastern Michigan University from 2011 to 2018. Additionally, from 2006 to 2013, she was an adjunct faculty member at the University of Phoenix. Since beginning her career in 1988, Dr. Green-Weir has specialized in applied theory pertaining to health care management, and she is well-versed in assisting students in developing critical thinking and decision making skills, which are highly pertinent in the health care industry. Adjacent to her primary duties, she is also well-regarded for her scholarly output, having contributed to numerous professional publications and presentations throughout her time in the field.

Prior to embarking on her vocational journey, Dr. Green-Weir pursued a formal education, originally earning a Bachelor of Science in speech pathology and audiology at the University of Michigan in 1978. She would subsequently continue her studies during her time working in the field, ultimately achieving a PhD in educational leadership at Eastern Michigan University in 2019. In addition to her academic credentials, Dr. Green-Weir also holds several pertinent certifications, having been certified by organizations such as the Association of College and University Educators and the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity. To commemorate her accomplishments, she was recently nominated as Teacher of the Year at the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in 2022. In light of her fulfilling career, Dr. Green-Weir has largely attributed her success to her determination, as well as the guidance of her parents and mentors.
