Bolstered by 35 years of experience, Mr. Senes has excelled in the field of education. Specializing in architecture and urban design, he has served as a full-time lecturer in the landscape architecture department at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona since 2014. Adjacent to his primary duties, he also operated as a professor of landscape architecture at the University of California, Los Angeles from 2016 to 2018 and as an associate professor of landscape architecture for the department of horticulture at MiraCosta College from 2015 to 2017. Mr. Senes originally began his career in 1988, working as an entry-level landscape designer for Jack Curtis and Associates from 1988 to 1990. As part of his commitment to his industry, he has also remained active as a member of The American Society of Landscape Architects since 2010.

Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, Mr. Senes cultivated his own higher education, beginning at the Ratcliffe Hicks School of Agriculture of the University of Connecticut, where he received a Certificate in Horticulture, with honors, in 1985. Continuing his studies at the college, he subsequently earned a Bachelor of Science in landscape architecture in 1987. In his most recent academic endeavors, Mr. Senes achieved a master’s degree in landscape architecture at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 2016. Well-regarded for his accomplishments in the field, he has been honored with numerous accolades over the course of his career, including the Glen Matsui Award for Dedication to Teaching from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in 2021. Likewise, his university presented him with the Outstanding Adjunct Faculty Award from 2016 to 2021. In light of his fulfilling career, Mr. Senes has largely attributed his success to his resilience, determination and empathy.
