Michele Guindani, PhD, Professor in the Department of Biostatistics of the Fielding School of Public Health at the University of California, Los Angeles, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in statistics education, genomics and research.
Since 2022, Dr. Guindani has served as a professor at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Fielding School of Public Health’s Department of Biostatics. From 2018 to 2022, he was a professor in the department of statistics at the University of California, Irvine, and from 2016 to 2018, he was an associate professor at the same institution. Dr. Guindani garnered experience as an assistant professor of biostatistics with the MD Anderson Cancer Center from 2010 to 2016 and an assistant professor of statistics at the University of New Mexico from 2007 to 2010. He began his career in 2005 as a postdoctoral fellow at the MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Dr. Guindani prepared for his career at Bocconi University, graduating in 2005 with a Doctor of Philosophy in statistics. In addition to his primary roles, he was editor-in-chief of Bayesian Analysis for The International Society for Bayesian Analysis from 2019 to 2021 and served as an associate editor for various professional journals. To keep abreast of his field, Dr. Guindani is a fellow of The International Society for Bayesian Analysis and the American Statistical Association. He enjoys hiking, photography and learning languages in his spare time.
