Donald Van Eynde, professor emeritus at Trinity University, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of business education.
With more than 35 years of experience to his credit, Dr. Van Eynde is a proven leader in the field of education. Specializing in business and management education, he previously excelled as a professor of management at Trinity University from 1984 to 2014. During the same period, he was also the chair of the Department of Business Administration for the institution and the president for university change management. Additionally, he chaired the crisis management team between 2013 and 2016. Since retiring in 2016, Dr. Van Eynde has maintained the honorary title of professor emeritus at the college. Outside of his primary professional interests, he remains active as the conflict resolution chair of Rotary District 5840.
Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, Dr. Van Eynde honorably served in the United States Army, completing two combat tours and operating as an army for a U.S. ambassador for the United Nations from 1960 to 1980. Furthermore, he cultivated a formal education, originally earning a Bachelor of Science in forestry at Michigan State University in 1959. After earning two Master of Arts degrees, he ultimately achieved a PhD in organizational psychology at Columbia University in 1983. Well-regarded for his accomplishments in the field, Dr. Van Eynde has been honored with several accolades over the course of his career, including a Distinguished Service Award from Trinity University, a Legion of Merit and a Silver Star for Gallantry in Combat. Accounting for his achievements, he is particularly proud to have played a role in changing the lives of many of his students.
