Mr. Takhar is a rising expert in the field of education, with more than five years of experience to his credit. He recently joined the Casa Grande Union High School District in Arizona as an English and media literacy teacher in 2021. In addition to teaching his students English reading and writing, he also developed the district’s media literacy curriculum from scratch, utilizing his own skills and expertise to inform what will best serve the students. In all of his endeavors, Mr. Takhar finds fulfillment in being able to teach and mentor future leaders of tomorrow.
As part of his vocational journey, Mr. Takhar has cultivated his own formal education. In this capacity, he previously earned a master’s degree in education in 2019, and he is currently pursuing a PhD in education. Well-regarded for his accomplishments in the field, his district honored him as Teacher of the Year in 2021, which he notes as one of the highlights of his career so far. He was originally inspired to pursue a career in education by his mother and his own teachers and mentors. In the coming years, Mr. Takhar looks forward to achieving his doctoral degree and hopes to continue serving his students for as long as he is able.
