With years of experience to her credit, Dr. Lewandowska has excelled as the assistant director of physics and a planetarium director at the State University of New York at Oswego since 2022. In addition to this position, she has served as a visiting assistant professor at Swarthmore College since 2021. She was previously active as a visiting assistant professor of astronomy at Haverford College from 2020 to 2021, a postdoctoral fellow at West Virginia University from 2018 to 2020 and a postdoctoral researcher at Green Bank Observatory from 2016 to 2018. Before embarking on her professional path, Dr. Lewandowska pursued an education at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg, from which she graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy in physics in 2015.

Beyond her responsibilities within the field, Dr. Lewandowska has found success with her written works, having proudly penned “Single Pulse Dispersion Measure of the Crab Pulsar” for a scientific publication. She is likewise affiliated with such organizations as the American Astronomical Society and the International Astronomical Union. Attributing her success to her persistence, her refusal to give up and her dedication to collaboration, she was proudly presented with an Early Start Grant from the Research Foundation for State University of New York at Oswego in 2022. Looking toward the future, Dr. Lewandowska hopes to establish and build upon a research group at the State University of New York at Oswego composed to students with whom she would work on various projects.
