Dr. Earnest L. Davis, Executive Director and President of the North Alabama Center for Educational Excellence, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in business management, human resource management and educational administration.

Since 2004, Dr. Davis has been the executive director and president of the North Alabama Center for Educational Excellence. In this capacity, he oversees the pre-college consortium of more than 33,000 students and 30 staff members. He provides college preparation to students planning to pursue a two-year or four-year college degree, including skills testing, ACT and SAT preparation, college fairs and campus visits. Prior to his current position, Dr. Davis worked in postsecondary education and with a K-12 educational administrative office.

In preparation for his career, Dr. Davis completed coursework at the U.S. Air Force Academy. He graduated from the Alabama A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in business and received a master’s degree in management from Troy University. In 2001, Dr. Davis obtained a doctorate at Southeastern University. For six years, he served in the U.S. Air Force. Alongside his primary roles, he has authored numerous professional papers and volunteered with the HEALS Agency, the March of Dimes and his local church.

Dr. Davis received an Alabama A&M University Achievement Award in 2014 and an Alabama Community College Association Award in 2000. In 1998, he was given a K-12 Education Achievement Award. To keep abreast of his field, he has maintained affiliation with the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce and Alpha Phi Alpha. In his spare time, Dr. Davis enjoys traveling, mountaineering, water activities, horseback riding and spending time outdoors.
