Lois H. Hinkle, Retired Elementary Principal at Montgomery County School Board, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in academic administration.

From 1991 until her retirement, Ms. Hinkle excelled as an elementary principal with the Montgomery County School Board. She garnered three decades of experience as an educational director and additionally shared her expertise as an elementary teacher in Elliston, Virginia. For seven years, Ms. Hinkle worked as an elementary teacher with Danville Public Schools.

Alongside her work as an educator, Ms. Hinkle was a creative designer. She produced wearable art and church banners. Additionally, she was the secretary at the Radford Arsenal, now the Radford Army Ammunition Plant, for four years.

In preparation for her career, Ms. Hinkle attended James Madison University and earned a bachelor’s degree. She continued her higher education at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, graduating in 1973 with a Master of Education. Among her achievements, Ms. Hinkle is proudest of the impact she was able to have on her students.

Ms. Hinkle attributes her success to God, as she believes he gave her the passion for working and educating others. In the coming years, she hopes to continue enjoying her retirement and traveling for as long as she can. Since retiring, she has traveled to France, Africa and Iceland, among other locations.
