With years of experience to his credit, Mr. De Lao has excelled as a technology coach for the Clint Independent School District since 2022. Prior to this appointment, he was active with the aforementioned school district as a fifth-grade teacher from 2019 to 2022 and a fourth-grade teacher from 2015 to 2019. Mr. De Lao began his career as a student intern with the Ysleta Independent School District in 2015.

Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. De Lao pursued an education at El Paso Community College, from which he earned an Associate of Arts in teaching in 2012. He continued his academic efforts with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies, elementary education and teaching at the University of Texas at El Paso in 2015. Mr. De Lao concluded his studies at Grand Canyon University in 2019, graduating with a master’s degree in instructional technology.

Beyond his primary responsibilities, Mr. De Lao has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. In 2014, he contributed to the Ysleta Independent School District as a student tutor. Mr. De Lao has also been affiliated with such organizations as the Association of Texas Professional Educators and the American Federation of Teachers.

As a testament to his exceptional undertakings, Mr. De Lao has accrued several accolades throughout his impressive career. In 2016 and 2017, he was recognized as the Teacher of the Month by the Clint Independent School District. Attributing his success to his ability to reach out when he needs help and create a community among his peers, he is incredibly proud to have completed his master’s degree in instructional technology while simultaneously working as a full-time fourth-grade teacher. In the coming years, Mr. De Lao hopes to become more proficient with his range of technology skills for students and teachers alike while advancing in his field and eventually acquiring his doctorate.
