Bradley Matthew Spieler, MD, Professor of Clinical Radiology, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in radiology.

In preparation for his career in medicine, Dr. Spieler attended Tulane University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in cell and molecular biology, summa cum laude. He continued his education at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine with a Doctor of Medicine in 2005 and completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at New York University. Dr. Spieler went on to complete a fellowship in body imaging at New York University and has been board certified by the American Board of Radiology.

Since 2022, Dr. Spieler has served the LSU School of Medicine as a professor of clinical radiology. He started working as faculty at the university in 2011 and became vice chair of scholarly activity and research at the LSU Department of Radiology in 2014. Alongside his primary positions, he has been an active contributor to clinical literature and medical journals. Dr. Spieler served as a consulting editor for the American Journal of Radiology for Genitourinary Imaging and a manuscript reviewer for Abdominal Radiology.

To keep abreast of changes in his field, Dr. Spieler has maintained affiliation with numerous professional organizations related to his areas of expertise. He is a member of the American Roentgen Ray Society, a grant reviewer for the Louisiana Biomedical Collaborative Research Program and a member of the Liver Reporting and Data System’s Tumor Response Working Group. Additionally, Dr. Spieler is a member of the Radiological Society of North America and the Association of University Radiologists.

Dr. Spieler has been recognized as a fellow of the Society of Abdominal Radiology and was named Fellow of the Year by New York University. He was also inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He attributes his success to the support of his parents and his wife, as well as the influence of his mentors. In the coming years, Dr. Spieler hopes to promote LSU and its curriculum and contribute to the positive development of the school. In his spare time, he enjoys travel, music, football and spending time with his family.
