Alvin Nathaniel White, MEd, a self-employed personal trainer, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the fields of fitness and education.

Hailing from several years of experience in his chosen field, Mr. White has distinguished himself as a self-employed personal trainer, through which he earned certification in 2013. In this capacity, he provides personal fitness training on behalf of clients throughout the region of Staunton, Virginia, focusing much of his efforts on in-home training, functional movement and wellness consultations. Previously, Mr. White earned distinction as the owner of his own company, Alvin’s Fitness and Wellness.

Outside of his work in fitness training, Mr. White found success across the span of more than three decades as an elementary and middle school educator, having worked from 1981 until his retirement from the field in 2011. During this time, he was notably bestowed with an award for his work as a youth sports coach.  Furthermore, as a testament to his achievements in the field, he remains in close contact with former students through social media, and is proud to have parleyed his expertise in this capacity toward his current work as a personal trainer.

Previously, Mr. White studied at Bridgewater College, from which he earned a Bachelor of Education. Following this accomplishment, he went on to attend the University of Virginia, graduating with a Master of Education in 1989. In accounting for his subsequent success, he credits the tutelage of his mentors, including Tony DeMacio, his former football coach. Looking toward the future, Mr. White aspires to continue serving as a personal trainer and finish writing an autobiography.
