Cyndy Reed Stewart, PhD, an educator and academic consultant in both the collegiate and K-12 settings, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of education.

With over two decades of experience in the field of education, Dr. Stewart has distinguished herself as an educator in varied academic settings. Engaging and empowering students in respect of ethnic and linguistic differences. Previously, she found success as an educator throughout the United States, earning particular distinction as the first and youngest African American female assistant dean at the University of Cincinnati, Teacher’s College and similarly noted as a consultant for the Iowa Department of Education.

Dr. Stewart’s performance in the field has been largely propelled by her own academic efforts, during which time she studied at South Carolina State University, where she received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Following this accomplishment, she attained a doctorate in educational leadership from Iowa State University in 1983. Well-qualified in her field, she is duly certified as a special education and elementary education teacher.

For her accomplishments, Dr. Stewart has been bestowed with numerous accolades, including recognition as a Phenomenal Woman by the University of Cincinnati. Outstanding Young Women of America Awards, induction to Phi Delta Kappa Honor Society and Epsilon Pi Tau, the Iowa State University Dean’s Award, and many other academic achievement awards throughout her academic career. She has also been recognized for her unyielding faith and support on behalf of students of color in the field of teacher education and has been honored for her cultivation of the talents of emerging minority educators and administrators by the Ohio Teacher Leadership Consortium, where she served as one of the pioneer members and grant writers for Ohio universities. Looking toward the future, Dr. Stewart hopes to continue teaching and development of her educational consulting firm to assist special needs families and adults.
