Throughout the course of her career, she has garnered acclaim for her service on behalf of students with special needs, being the mother to a daughter with special needs in her own right. Ms. Maniscalco initially became involved in her profession out of a deep passion for mathematics. Furthermore, before attending college, she accrued several hours of service on behalf of the Holy Angels, a facility for children with learning problems. Following this period, she studied at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in special education, with a minor in mathematics. Ms. Maniscalco subsequently graduated with a master’s degree in supervision of instruction in 1997.
In accounting for her success, Ms. Maniscalco credits her dedication and passion for both mathematics and special education. Looking toward the future, she hopes to remain open to any opportunities that present themselves to her in the realms of consulting and tutoring.
