With years of experience to her credit, Ms. Lovings has excelled as a school teacher operating at the middle school grade level in Chicago Public Schools since 2022. In this position, she is responsible for helping and teaching students who are deaf and/or hard of hearing in a special education curriculum after having been active in special education and early childhood education for a number of years. Hailing from a family of educators, Ms. Lovings initially considered a career in psychology and the law before eventually becoming encouraged by her parents to acquire her certification in special education, about which she became passionate soon thereafter.
Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Lovings pursued an education at National Louis University, from which she obtained a Bachelor of Science in applied behavioral science. Beyond her primary responsibilities, she dedicates her time and attention to donating and volunteering at local homeless shelters and soup kitchens. Looking toward the future, she hopes to earn a certification in freelance sign language to eventually become an educational translator upon her retirement from the classroom. Moreover, Ms. Lovings aims to cement her legacy as an effective teacher whom her students will remember in the years to come.
