Patricia Lynne Knight, school psychologist and learning specialist at the West Fallowfield Christian Academy, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in youth education.
Having accrued five decades of experience, Ms. Knight is a proven expert in the field of education. Since 2020, she has operated as a school psychologist and learning specialist at the West Fallowfield Christian Academy in Atglen, Pennsylvania. In her current roles, she specializes in caring for kindergarten and grade school students and children, typically by utilizing the “Wilson Training” program. Additionally, Ms. Knight is highly trained in the fields of counseling and school psychology.
Prior to her current positions, Ms. Knight served as a teacher and the director of the Academic Support Program at The Phelps School in Malvern, Pennsylvania, for 30 years. Additionally, she previously worked as a learning disability scope consultant and as a basketball trainer. Outside of her primary duties, Ms. Knight remains active as a civic-minded citizen in her community. To wit, she regularly volunteers with the Saint Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother church, in addition to donating funds to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Before embarking on her vocational journey, Ms. Knight pursued a formal education at West Chester University. After earning a bachelor’s degree in special education in 1971, she subsequently achieved a Master of Arts in counseling psychology in 1980. In addition to her academic credentials, Ms. Knight also received a master’s certification in school psychology.
In light of her fulfilling career, Ms. Knight largely attributes her success to her passion, upbringing and love for others. Accounting for her accomplishments, she is most notably proud to have developed an academic program in 1976 that was used in West Chester, Pennsylvania, to provide additional services to students with disabilities at public elementary schools. Furthermore, she is grateful to have worked with many such students over the course of her career. Looking to the future, Ms. Knight hopes to continue teaching at the West Fallowfield Christian Academy for several more years, while also volunteering her time at other local hospitals and schools.
