Mr. Blanks’ areas of expertise include coaching baseball and track and field. In his post at the Aldine Independent School District, he taught health, physical education, math, and history. To prepare for his career as a coach and educator, he attended Sul Ross State University, where he graduated in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science in health and physical education.
Mr. Blanks has been recognized for his professional excellence with multiple awards and accolades. In 1980, he was inducted into Who’s Who Among American Baseball Coaches. Earlier in his life, Mr. Blanks served in the United States Military, for which he received a Bronze Star.
As an experienced educator and athletic coach, Mr. Blanks attributes his success to his integrity and work ethic. He is proud of his lifetime winning percentage of .700. In his 25-year coaching career, he won many state, regional, and area games. In the coming years, Mr. Blanks hopes to see his grandchildren finish school and become self-sufficient.
