Dr. Robert H. Zeiler, Chief Scientific Officer at Genlantis Diagnostics and Professor at the American University of Health Sciences, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in health care education and medical research.

In preparation for his career, Dr. Zeiler attended Long Island University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology in 1971. He continued his studies at the institution and earned a Master of Science in physiology in 1973. In 1981, he graduated from New York University with a Doctor of Philosophy in biology. Following the completion of his doctorate, Dr. Zeiler attended the Graduate School of Arts and Science.

For 30 years, Dr. Zeiler has shared his expertise as a professor of physiology and pathophysiology at the American University of Health Sciences. He currently serves as chief scientific officer of Genlantis Diagnostics, where he is responsible for authoring clinical trial protocols, running trials, analyzing data, and securing approval for new drugs. Since 2019, he has also found success as the director of cardiovascular clinical research at the University of Arizona and the Banner-University Medical Center.

Dr. Zeiler garnered experience as the vice president of research, assistant dean of research, and associate professor at California Northstate University’s College of Medicine from 2011 to 2013. From 2008 to 2011, he was an assistant professor at the University of New England, and from 2007 to 2008, he was the senior director of clinical and regulatory operations at the NeuroSystec Corporation. Dr. Zeiler was also the senior director of Medtronic Vascular from 2003 to 2008.

An accomplished researcher, Dr. Zeiler has been involved in cardiovascular, electrophysiology, and biophysical research. He has published about 60 papers and presentations, including his doctoral thesis, which was published in the Peptides Journal. Notably, Dr. Zeiler published the first reentrant map for arrhythmia and wrote a synopsis for a clinical protocol design that was approved by the American Heart Association’s guideline committee. For his accomplishments as an educator, he was honored by the University of New England, among further recognitions.

Dr. Zeiler maintains affiliation with the Society of Quality Assurance, the American Heart Association, and the Darwin Society. He attributes his success to his hard work, interest, and mental clarity. In the coming years, he hopes to continue teaching for as long as he is able. In his spare time, Dr. Zeiler enjoys cooking, making stained glass, and building robots.
