Though she is retired from teaching, she remains dedicated to songwriting and music publishing. Prior to embarking on her vocational journey, Ms. Altman pursued her own education, studying at William Paterson University and earning bachelor’s degrees at Montclair State University and the University of Massachusetts.
From an early age, Ms. Altman naturally gravitated towards a career as a teacher. A multifaceted educator, she has always had a clear understanding that each individual learns in different ways, and she found a wealth of success by implementing interactive teaching techniques. To commemorate her efforts in the field, she was previously honored with the School Leader Award for Creative and Innovative Programs by the New Jersey Board of Education and a Heart of Gold Award. In her retirement, Ms. Altman often enjoys reminiscing about her days in school with her husband and interacting with her old students on Facebook.
