Don E. Atkinson, founder of Day by Day in the Word Ministries, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in religious studies.
With over four decades of experience to his credit, Mr. Atkinson is a proven leader in the field of education. Specializing in religious studies, he founded the Day by Day in the Word Ministries in 2016. The organization stands as an evangelical, non-denominational Christian ministry that serves community members through Bible studies and teachings. As part of his dedication in the field, Mr. Atkinson has published two expository books that he uses to assist in his teachings, including “Day by Day in Ephesians” in 2017 and “Day by Day with Hebrews” in 2022.
Adjacent to his primary duties, Mr. Atkinson continues to serve his community as a Sunday school teacher and minister. Prior to his current roles, he operated as a technician with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for three years. He originally began his career in 1979, working with the Natural Resources Conservation Service for many years. The organization formally recognized Mr. Atkinson on numerous occasions for his accomplishments in the field.
Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, Mr. Atkinson pursued a formal education. He began his studies at Colorado State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in wildlife biology. He subsequently continued his studies at Texas A&M University, where he achieved a master’s degree in wildlife biology. Though he currently dedicates much of his time to his work with Day by Day, Mr. Atkinson continues to advocate for environmental protection and wildlife conservation.
Mr. Atkinson was inspired to pursue a religious vocation at an early age, having participated in a youth camp when he was 10 years old. As he proceeded through college and the onset of his professional career, he continually worked to expand his knowledge and understanding of religious texts, which proved to be invaluable to him. Since beginning his career, he has preached in five different states and appeared on several radio broadcasts. In light of his fulfilling work, he attributes much of his success to his diligence and ability to cooperate with others. In the coming years, Mr. Atkinson hopes to publish his third book.
