Ms. Perttunen attributes her success to her desire to help every student succeed in learning and enjoy the process. She wanted her students to feel confident and find success in their professional and personal lives, and she considers her students’ successes to be her greatest career accomplishment. Ms. Perttunen has been committed to her professional development throughout her career, doing whatever she could to improve her education and skills as a teacher, including taking extra courses while studying for her master’s degree. She would like others to know that even difficult challenges can be overcome with persistence and dedication.
