Alongside her primary professional endeavors, Ms. Guzman has been a volunteer for the Rodeo Community Center and has had her writings on school initiatives published in a local newspaper.
In preparation for her career pursuits, Ms. Guzman attended Western New Mexico University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business education in 1996. She continued her higher education at the same institution, earning a master’s degree in education in pre-K and special education in 1999. During her education, Ms. Guzman was listed in Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. Attributing her success to her family, in the coming years, she hopes to achieve her goals for the Apache Elementary School District #42 and pave the way for her successor.
