Ms. Clarkson advises aspiring professionals in her industry to be patient, kind, steadfast, current, and hopeful. She credits her mother, grandmother, and Richard Tatum as mentors and inspirations throughout her life and career.

Ms. Clarkson enjoys writing in her spare time and has authored multiple books since 2018. She authored “It’s of No Consequence” in 2018, “Rightfully Hers” in 2020, and “Hold on Kids” in 2021. Ms. Clarkson is married to her husband, Clarence Clarkson, and is a proud mother. Supporting her family has been a primary source of motivation throughout her career. She has additionally been motivated by her desire to always do the best job she can and by knowing that her students and co-teachers needed her support.
