He continued his education at Mercer University, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in music education in 1984, and later graduated from Cambridge College with a master’s degree in educational administration and leadership in 2006. Mr. Williams concluded his higher education at Cambridge College, obtaining an Educational Specialist degree in educational administration and leadership in 2007. Alongside his formal degrees, he is a certified professional teacher in Georgia. Mr. Williams was certified by the Georgia Real Estate Board in 2004 and additionally earned certification as an apprentice embalmer and funeral director in 2019.
Since 1987, Mr. Williams has found success as an assistant principal and director of instruction and student services with Appling County High School in Baxley, Georgia. He has additionally been a professional entertainer, working as a pianist, vocalist, and stage personality. Mr. Williams has traveled to perform in 42 states, as well as Canada, England, and Ireland, and his albums include “Get on Board,” “Reflections & Memories,” “Remember When,” and “From the Heart.” To remain up to date with his profession, he has maintained affiliation with the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the Professional Association of Georgia Educators, and the Georgia Music Educators Association, among other organizations.
