Having accrued over three decades of experience, Ms. Jimenez-Ito has excelled as a high school educator at the Oxnard Union High School District. Throughout her tenure with the district, has specialized in teaching Spanish and Senior Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) courses. She deeply enjoys the classroom, creating a positive environment for her students and treating each of them like family. Adjacent to her primary duties, Ms. Jimenez-Ito also participates as a club advisor, union representative, advanced placement teacher, and department chair within the district, and in 2018, she founded The Caring Closet.
As part of her vocational journey, Ms. Jimenez-Ito cultivated her own formal education. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish education and literature at the University of California, Los Angeles, she subsequently achieved a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction at Azusa Pacific University. To wit, she attributes many of her accomplishments to her exceptional training and her sincere passion for teaching her pupils. From a young age, she naturally gravitated toward a career as an educator, and she is thankful to have found a wealth of success over the course of her career. In the coming years, Ms. Jimenez-Ito hopes to travel and teach abroad in Europe, after which point she intends to retire.
