Alongside his primary professional endeavors, he has contributed as a reviewer for the National Science Foundation’s chemistry and biochemistry programs.
Dr. Gericke prepared for his career at the University of Hamburg, graduating with a doctoral degree in chemistry in 1994. He additionally studied as a postdoctoral research associate at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, from 1994 to 1997, and was a habilitation candidate at the Max Planck Group for Liquid Crystals at the University of Halle. Dr. Gericke is an accomplished author in his field, penning numerous articles for professional journals and contributing to research. For his achievements, he received multiple research and educational grants from the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health. He maintains membership to professional organizations, including serving on the editorial board for Biomolecules and Chemistry & Physics of Lipids. In his spare time, Dr. Gericke enjoys skiing, hiking, tennis, going to the beach, and spending time with his family.
