Mitchell Samick, program director at CASA of Fayette County, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in nonprofit social work.

With over a decade of experience to his credit, Mr. Samick is a proven leader in the field of social work, having dedicated himself to youth development. Since 2021, he has served as the inaugural program director of CASA of Fayette County in Pennsylvania. Prior to his current appointment, he operated with CASA of Westmoreland as a program director from 2018 to 2021 and an advocate supervisor from 2014 until 2021. Mr. Samick also worked as a personal care aide in the Yough School District between 2012 and 2014, and he held several roles focusing on therapy and emotional support for students and families at Merakey (Formerly NHS Human Services) between 2010 and 2012. To wit, he began his career in 2009, working as a case manager for Family Care for Children and Youth Inc. until 2010. As part of his dedication to his profession, Mr. Samick also remains affiliated with several industry-related organizations, including the Fayette County Leadership Team and the Fayette County Human Services Council.

Before embarking on his vocational journey, Mr. Samick pursued a formal education at Saint Vincent College, where he achieved a Bachelor of Arts in history in 2003 and a Master of Science in education in 2005. In addition to his academic credentials, he also holds several certifications, including in children’s law and policy and in firefighting and hazmat. Adjacent to his primary vocational endeavors, Mr. Samick has also participated with the Lloydsville Volunteer Fire Department and Relief Association as the assistant fire chief since 2002. To commemorate his accomplishments in the field, he was previously recognized with a Citation for Bravery by Westmoreland County. Attributing much of his success to his determination and willingness to tackle challenges, Mr. Samick looks forward to the continued expansion of the CASA program in Fayette County.
