Donna M. Jablecki, Retired Science Educator at Brazosport Independent School District, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in science education.

Now retired, Ms. Jablecki enjoyed many years of success in science education. She began her career as a high school teacher in Nashville, Tennessee, and from 1968 to 1973, she was a kindergarten through eighth-grade teacher of all subjects with Burtonwood Base School in England. From 1973 to 1976, she served as a science teacher for seventh and eighth grade through Lakenheath Base School in England, and she completed her career with Brazosport Independent School District. Ms. Jablecki has maintained affiliation with the Texas Association of Biology Teachers and has been recognized for her accomplishments with a Presidential Award for Outstanding Science Teaching in Texas in 1985. She was also a grant recipient from the United States Department of Energy and earned a teaching award from the United States Army.

In preparation for her career, Ms. Jablecki attended Southern Nazarene University and earned a Bachelor of Science in biology. She went on to earn a master’s degree in environmental science from Middle Tennessee State University in 1967 and a master’s degree in curriculum and supervision from St. Thomas University in Houston, Texas, in 1991. Ms. Jablecki attributes her success to being social and loving her students. In the coming years, she hopes to travel more with her husband.
