With years of experience to her credit, Ms. Vargas has excelled as a professor at Santiago Canyon College in Orange, California since 2013. Prior to this appointment, she had served as a professor with Glendale Career College, West Coast University and Concorde Career Colleges. Moreover, she has been active as a member of the Pathways to Teaching Program at Santiago Canyon College. Attributing her success to her unparalleled drive for helping others, Ms. Vargas is incredibly proud of the passion that she brings to the classroom, having never even missed a day of work while battling two different types of cancer.
Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Vargas pursued an education at California State State University, Long Beach, from which she earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies in 2000. She concluded her studies at the aforementioned university in 2005, graduating with a Master of Education in curriculum and instruction. Hailing from a family of educators, she harbored a lifelong desire to become a teacher, having even played school with neighborhood children in her youth. Looking toward the future, Ms. Vargas hopes to write grants and become a tenured professor at Santiago Canyon College.
