Jeffrey F. Capps, Principal at Liberty Christian Academy, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in secondary education.
Mr. Capps has been a leader in his field for 27 years, most recently serving as the high school principal of Liberty Christian Academy since 2019. He previously flourished in various roles at the aforementioned institution, including middle school principal from 2009 until 2019, athletic director between 1998 and 2008, and dean of students at the high school from 1996 to 1998. He was a teacher at the academy from 1995 until 1996.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Capps earned a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education from Liberty University in 1994. He subsequently obtained a master’s degree in supervision from the same university in 2011. To stay abreast of trends and changes in his field, he maintains a membership with the National High School Principals Association and is a lifetime member of the Virginia High School Athletic Administrators Association.
Among Mr. Capps’ most influential role models is his mother, who taught at Liberty Christian Academy while he attended school there as a child, and was still teaching at the academy as Mr. Capps began his career there. Among his greatest achievements are the strong connections he establishes with his students, many of whom have remained in touch with him more than a decade after they completed their studies. He is also proud of having expanded the STEM program at the academy’s middle school and for starting up the archery clubs at the middle and high schools. As an individual of considerable spiritual depth, he attributes his success to being willing to serve wherever God needs him.
