Stephen J. Spencer, EdD, Institutional Research and Educational Studies Director at STEM Accelerated Coding, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in academic administration.

With decades of experience to his credit, Dr. Spencer has excelled as the director of institutional research and educational studies with STEM Accelerated Coding in 2013. He has been additionally active as a senior customer care representative with Medical Mutual of Ohio since 1993. Moreover, he formerly worked as an adjunct professor with Owens Community College between 1999 and 2003 and a store manager for Delaware Audio Video from 1986 to 1993. Dr. Spencer further served for many years as a part of the U.S. military, initially completing service in the U.S. Army between 1970 and 1991 before re-enlisting to the Ohio Adjutant Generals Department of the Ohio National Guard between 2006 and 2009.

During his military tenure, Dr. Spencer pursued an education at the Ohio State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in political science in 1983. He subsequently obtained a Master of Arts in management from Antioch University Midwest in 1998 and a Doctor of Education in higher education and organizational change from Benedictine University in 2015. In addition to these accomplishments, he was celebrated by the Ohio State University with the Most Outstanding Assembly Member Award from the Undergraduate Student Government (USG), the Buckeye Award for Outstanding Student Leadership from The Ohio Staters and The Lee Walker Award for the Most Outstanding Project in Student Government from The Undergraduate Student Government in 1980. Attributing his success to his perseverance, Dr. Spencer hopes to return to teaching in the coming years while co-managing his business with his colleague on a national and possibly global scale.
