Dr. William J. Kehoe, William F. O’Dell Emeritus Professor of Commerce at University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in education.
Dr. Kehoe is the William F. O’Dell Emeritus Professor of Commerce for the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce, serving in this capacity since 2018 and teaching students here as a professor of commerce from 1991 to 2018. Previously, he was a faculty liaison for the FBI National Academy from 1985 to 2019 and a faculty team leader for Integrated Core Experience at the University of Virginia. He held multiple positions at the McIntire School of Commerce, including international business area coordinator, senior associate dean and academic director.
Dr. Kehoe earned his bachelor’s degree at the College of Arts & Sciences, University of Cincinnati in 1964. He subsequently graduated from Xavier University in 1969 with a Master of Business Administration. In 1973, he secured his master’s degree in economics from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia and in 1976, obtained a doctorate in business administration from the University of Kentucky in Lexington.
As a service member, Dr. Kehoe served the country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. He continues to serve the community through numerous civic works, acting as a board member for a number of foundations and organizations, including the Virginia Aviation Board and the National Business Honor Society. He has contributed a number of articles to various professional journals. In acknowledgement of his many professional achievements, he has been the recipient of multiple awards and honors and has been featured in multiple past editions of Who’s Who.
Dr. Kehoe has traveled the world as a visiting professor of business, teaching students at the Nyenrode Business Universiteit in Breukelen, Netherlands in 1991. He also taught at the University of Illinois Department of Business Administration in Chicago and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston in Illinois, among other schools all over the country. In the next few years, he will continue to teach on a part-time basis while continuing to write and research.
