Dr. George B. Delahunty, Professor Emeritus at Goucher College, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in education.
Dr. Delahunty is a professor emeritus at Goucher College in Towson, Maryland, a position he has held since 2019. Prior to this, he was a professor of biology at the college from 1979 to 2019. He also taught students as a visiting associate professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and at the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology at Duquesne University of the Holy Spirit in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. From 1974 to 1979, he studied for his doctorate in physiology and endocrinology at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Dr. Delahunty’s areas of expertise include physiology and endocrinology. He was always drawn to science as a young person and this passion guided his career path. In the next few years, he will be working on a writing project that will help to provide science education to the general public.
